Haha! I totally lucked out on the tags. I started playing last night and decided to do some base jumping first. On my way to get the parachute, I was walking by a tag in Downtown Los Santos. I tried to target it and sure enough, it was the one I missed! Downtown Los Santos was going to be the third or fourth major area I checked (and that would have been about the 70th tag I checked). Now I have free weapons. Sweet.
I also did the ambulance missions. The R3 missions are a great way to boost stats and get money. It also helps you get to know your way around town.
