Street Fighter: Anniversary is as far as Capcom can take the SF2/3 series. There's just nothing else they can do with those tired old characters except throw some new guys into the mix and rerelease another low-selling version. If Capcom wants to continue making 2D fighters, they need to create a new franchise... their crossover attempts are NOT working. SNK vs. Capcom was a pile of rubbish. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was good, but again, what could they possibly add in the next version?
I think Capcom's done with fighters for a while. They milked the hell out of their successes for too long, and now they're left with dicks in hand with nothing creative to produce.
