How about if we start a thread of it's own, dedicated to pieces to be submitted by those that wish to do so, for voting on. Then we could all submit pieces, and those that do not wish to participate need not. Then, we could make like a once a week vote, or once every two weeks vote, or something like that. How does this sound?
