Wasn't the new movie supposed to be a "passing of the torch" movie where Indy is an older mentor-type character to a protege archaeologist? I thought I had heard that somewhere.
Either way, the clock is ticking, and has arguably run out. Imagine him trying to play Han Solo again. It just wouldn't work.
