A vote for Charles Schumer! Glad to see it. I'm a transplanted New Yorker who admires what he did following 9/11. His (at the time) 16 year old daughter attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, damaged by the attacks. When the school re-opened, many parents were hesitant to send their children back to the school for fears the building wasn't ready to re-open yet. Schumer personally escorted his daughter back to the school to show he felt it was safe. At a time when most politician's kids are in private schools, Schumer showed me something by that move. Although he's a Democrat, and I tend to vote Republican, I only wish I could have put one in for him.
Anyway, I voted by military absentee ballot, as we got underway this morning.
