Also recommend the Roots: Phrenology, Talib Kweli: Reflection Eternal, Jay-Z: Black album (dl the Grey album if you want to mess with people's minds), Dr. Dre:Chronic 2K (obviously), Snoop Dogg: Doggystyle (the out of print classic!), Deltron 3030 (amazing).
I'd avoid pop rap acts like p-diddy, early De La Soul (although it's awesome), Nelly, etc. or trip-hop variants while drinking. Anything Dr. Dre produces is going to be alcohol friendly.
