i actually thought the movie was tight and concise. am i retarded? no. if the main bond holding the movie together was just the outrageous sense of humor that pervades every scene, the characters acting like children oblivious to the adult world, it would be a great success. but i think the story was very interesting. the changes and epiphanies experienced by the characters do fall into the land of the ineffable but despite the absurdity of EVERY situation in the movie, i found the story very involving. i can't even comprehend where you are coming from docbungle, that you would think this was a random mess. when the world vision is complete (which is perhaps giving i heart etc. too much credit) then anything that happens in that world is strictly connected to it. jesus, i just realized i'm saying "the blanket is the blanket and we're all connected" or whatever.
my main gripe would be the "wll, that's that" ending. but considering the plethora of atrocious films being exhibited like a mongoloid freakshow throughout the theaters of america, idiosyncratic gems like i heart etc. should be supported and applauded.
