I really hope Chet Edwards wins. He's not in our district any more, but we still get all the TV ads.
"I'm conservative, he's a liberal democrat!" is a popular argument. Both sides are putting out some disgusting ads, and usually both candidates' ads are back to back, making them both look like scum.
One of the best ads I've seen was from an Independent. The guy comes on screen, lists his stance on the main issues one by one, and finishes with something to the effect of "enough partisan BS." We need more people like that.
