The collective "*shrug* - who knows?" from the Bush administration and supporters here on TFP is a denial of reality.
And this new excuse is especially telling:

By that logic, if Bush was
right to believe that WMDs were there (as countless hawks have suggested), it
is O.K. for Kerry to assume that these lesser weapons were there after the invasion.
Of course, the explosives
were there after the invasion. So the latter does not actually lend credence to the former, as you would have me believe.
