Yeah, and 15 years from now, your current PC will be an item of nostalgia. You're making it too complicated. It's not the PC genre that loses support, it's the actual components of your PC that get outdated. PCs are outdated far easily than consoles are. The average console lasts 5 years while the average fully loaded PC lasts 3 years before gaming gets into the subpar gameplay arena.

Saying that PCs are better because they have the same name after 15 years isn't a valid opinion.
