I hope someone else will chime in and confirm that this problem is most likely isolated just to the clutch hydraulics. In order of steps I would start by first bleeding the system extensively. If that does not improve the action of the slave, then you should replace the slave and master cylinders. If you have it apart and are trying to avoid further expense, try just the slave, and if that doesn't help, then do the master. Thankfully you can usually replace the master without taking out the transmission.
