So, how long does this usually take?
Mrs Mephisto and I had the unfortunate experience, at the beginning of this year, of an extopic pregnancy. Not only did we lose the pregnancy, but also one of her fallopian tubes was removed. The plus side of the story is that I got her to hospital in time when her tube ruptured and (obviously) she survived. And we know I'm not firing blanks!
So after a few months physical and emotional healing (and a 4 month break when we travelled), we're more or less trying again.
I've read differing opinions on whether having only one fallopian tube reduces your chances of conceiving. This is not what I want to discuss here, but rather asking other members here how long, generally, did it take you before you (plural) got pregnant? With us, the first time, it was literally after about a week. I've heard that it takes an average of 3 months trying to fall pregnant! Is that your experience?
Mr Mephisto (hopefully a father someday...)
