I have a 30% loss in higher frequencies. Its a bitch to converse in a crowd. Too many rock concerts and a few too many car races have taken those sounds away for good. Once damaged, there is no repair. I notice 'missing' sounds when I listen to favorite songs on CD. High fidelity doesn't mean shit when your ears can't tell the difference between a third generation cassette recording and a CD. I even wear earplugs when I mow the yard, just so I don't inflict more damage.
