just a quick question: is the video on it corrupted or is it just a codec your computer doesn't support? I have seen many instances where someone has a video file and attempts to play it and the file in question only plays the sound with no video, but it was just due to not having the correct codec..
as far as a badly named mp3.. if the file is bigger than 15 megs, I would lean more towards a video (most music videos tend to be in the 50-70 MB range, whereas most mp3s tend to be in the 2-11 MB range).
