The Evil English
An Irish priest always closed his homily at every Mass by saying "And may God rain death and destruction on the evil English."
His bishop, hearing of this, visited the priest, told him that such hateful sentiments were no longer to be expressed from the pulpit, and threatened to send the priest to a poor mission in Africa if anything like this every happened again. He noted that the coming Sunday Mass required a homily on the Last Supper and that the priest should preach simply on that and express no diatribes against the English.
When Sunday came around, the priest did indeed preach on the last supper: "Sure, when Jesus and the boys were all gathered at the Table, Jesus turned to them and said 'I know that one of you boys is gwoin' to betray me.' At that point, Judas stood up and said 'Cor blimey, govner--it ain't gonna be me!'"
