The shaving took place b/4 the local. Not to comfortable. When they give you the local it feel like someone has kicked you in the balls, very lightly. I wiggled my toes a lot. Most of all I had a lot of anxiety. A local in my jaw by a dentist was worse. My doctor, during the procedure, kept asking me if I felt anything. Luckily I didn't. Even though I didn't, I was still very anxious. I did not feel any tugging or pulling. I guess he did it right. He also told me that it went as well as expected. Sometime, I guess, it can be difficult to locate the vas and get it out. They only make a tiny, tiny cut. By the time it is all healed up it won't be any noticealbe. About 1/2 way through the procedure I started to relax and realized that I am laying down during the day, what a nice treat (have to surgar coat it somehow). My advice, find a doctor that you feel comfortable with. I looked around for nearly 2 years. And, lay low for a couple of days with a bag of frozen peas on your area. It will keep the swelling down. I told my son that I hurt my leg at work. He said that frozen peas will make it feel better. Any hoo, don't worry, the bark is worse than the bite with this procedure.
