If it is a 95, and it is not an OBD II computer (95-96 was the transition year from EEC-IV to EEC-V or OBD II) , you should be able to reset it just by disconnecting the battery for 20 min. Now if there is something wrong, the light will re-appear. However, I believe that you may have an OBD 2 computer because I dont think they integreated the gas cap sensor with the earlier EEC-IV.
