Irish is right. I own a corgi (and a half corgi half cocker spaniel). And they really do have good temperment. The one I have is very obediant and loyal. She's almost TOO affectionate in the fact that the second she sees you she will NOT stop yapping until you lay down and let her lick yer freakin face off. I hate that but I love it so I'm torn. She has energy out the wazoo. They're herding dogs so don't be surprised if the little dog jumps up and nips you in the butt or the heels or sumfin. I remember one time we took her out to the back yard and we let her run around a bit and we were walking around and she looked at me, I looked at her, and then she just went nuts and started barking like crazy and running around us in a circle and barking. I was like "WTF is she doing??!" then it donned on me. She was trying to fuckin herd us! Crazy shit. I was like "Lily I'm not a damn goat!" They're crazy dogs but of the 3 we have she's probably the best behaved. When she wants to play she wants to play but that only lasts for a little while before she just plops down on the floor and falls asleep. If you've ever watched Cowboy Bebop the cartoon dog Ein is a corgi and they act exactly as he does on the show. Cartoonist must own a corgi or something. They're 2 types of em. A Cardigan and a Pembroke. We have a Pembroke..far as I can tell the only difference between them is that the Cardigans have a tail.
Ours looks a little like this one
I gotta admit when we got her...we didn't know what the fuck she was. We even though she looked a little funny but she quickly grew on us. Now we see pictures of corgis everywhere and we'd never even heard of em. Apparently they are quickly become a favorite among dog owners.
Asta!!
