the most recent one would have to be call of duty.
i got the demo, played it, was astounded, especially the whole shell shock thing. had to buy it. same thing happened with far cry as well. Completely had not heard of the game, but it had a 500 meg demo, so i downloaded it just for fun. and was blown away, the day it came out, i had it.
