I've never thought Hollywood is capable of producing anything similar to reality. I think they produce what they think people want to see. And they do it pretty well. When's the last teen movie that failed? I think that most people understand what they are seeing is not remotely similar to real life. After all, would you like to see a feature film with Pat Sajak starring in Hillsdale?
I am glad you posted this, and will enjoy reading this thread. There are lots of different ideas that may come from here.
