What's the learning curve for a game like WOW? The only rpg I've every played (and been really good at) was Diablo; I haven't even played any of the Final Fantasy games. I'm just now playing WC3 for the first time but WOW looks a lot different.
Considering I've never played any MMORPG before, should I expect a pretty steep learning curve? Screenshots look like nothing I've ever seen before.
One of the main reasons I ask is cause it seems like all the screenshots I see for this game (and for similar games like EQ) aren't what I'd expect. They usually consist of a character alone on some vast plane with maybe one monster next to him. This is much different than the shots I'm used to from games like Diablo. Maybe there's just much more to the game than interaction with other beings..? Are these games played for the action or are they mainly just for the submersion into a new world?
Thanks for any insight!
