I know where you stand, but this article is refering to people as a whole. Your beliefs, while progressive and thought provoking to say the least, are by far not the rule but the exception. This article is in pertaining to the general mindset of the populus. There are always exepctions - and it's the exceptions that can cause change (popsitive or negetive) in a given society.
