you als o have to relize that this country has been moving twords a more centralized power for at least 70 years. it is somthing that has become standard and while i know i don't agree with it and i am sure that there are others it is the way it is and a change to the old system would be so drastic that it would cause instability. instibility is definatly somthing that no one on either side of the political fence wants because frankly it makes there candidate look bad. all that we can hope for at this time a change back to liberty is a slow but sudyprogression. what we need is more parties like the liberatarians, that might have a few more centerist ideas in them. these new more progressive parties, which is somthing neither party right now is, is the best way to return us to our former system.
what you must also relize is that part of the reason that we as a country are so powerful and dominating is because of a strong central power. without a steady voice, which we recieve from the president and congress, we would be disorganized, think of a the UN on an America only level. this world is going to be a very different place. again this change would be so large that it can't happen all at once, people can't one day just wake up and decide they would like it this way. it is somthing that we must strive for and slowly over time implement so that it keeps our house of cards standing in the wind.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."
