My Dad wanted me to be circumsized just after birth, but the nurse refused him saying it takes away sensitivity from the foreskin. Years on and I'd like to shake that nurses hand (after she's scrubbed up of course)!
Now i know this will probably start on outcry from the guys that have been circumsized but the thing is, how would they now know whether they'd lost sensitivity or not? Put it this way if the flesh of a banana is the sensitive part and you peel the skin off the banana then the flesh will get tougher and less sensitive to compensate...?
Although you're more likely to get a job in porno if you've had the snip as it's impossible to suffer from a 'foreskin rollback snag' and it's accepted as being more hygenic even though men that have the extra skin know how to keep clean...
