A soft mutter came from Shoan.
"He's my brother."
Shoan let loose a deep sigh and divulged what he had kept secret for 10 years.
"My real name is Shoan Eldaire. I ran away from home because I hated the way my parents forced me into my brother's shadow. I hated the military and I didn't want to have anything to do with it. I left because I couldn't take my parents, but Amarth and I were always close. I don't know why, because deep down I knew that it was him I was always being compared to. Amarth lives in the woods, about a half day's ride from here, but if I take you there, you must never speak of it to anyone. I'll lead the way."
Shoan was torn between seeking his brother's help to get rid of an unspeakable evil and keeping his solemn oath of silence about his location. The others could see his heart ripping in two every step his horse took.
