They're like Best Buy, only with less reliable merchandise and higher prices (after exchange). And yes, they like to screw you as much as possible. While I don't condone most of the activity mentioned in this thread, I certainly don't condemn it. Personally, though, I'd rather just boycott the shitty computer store and make sure all my friends do the same. Of course, all my friends already know better.
