Are there any products or methods for washing/maintaining/detailing your car that any of you car buffs would like to recommend?

I'm going to have a car up here at college soon and I wanted to know some nice, quick, and (hopefully cheap) ways to baby your car.

And lastly, has anyone used the mr.clean no dry carwash product? Is it any good or not worth it?
