Recently: Doom 3 when I first started playing it

Burnout 3, the first time I completely head-on collided with a car/wall/whatever

Metal Gear Solid.....the entire fucking game was constantly "wow."

Splinter Cell - when you assasinate nikoladze (spelling?). "Sam, no easy way to say this, you have to snipe nikoladze from your current position in the next 5 seconds or the mission's over" OH MY GOD!!! equip equip fumble the control aaaagghh!!!

Gran Turismo 3 - watching the intro to the game. holy fuckin' damn. still looks real.

Need for Speed: Underground - doing my first successful drag race and winning with the nitro held down and the blurry graphics .....damn

playing Donkey Kong Country for SNES - damn those were some good fucking graphics and gameplay

rushing through the first level of Sonic Adventure at 80000 MPH.....holy crap

first time playing Perfect Dark - boy that was some good atmosphere

first time playing World of Warcraft.....do these controls and gameplay get much better?

testing the Far Cry demo. I couldn't believe you could see the end of the level from the first step

running over trees in Call of Duty with the tank. my GOD I've never felt so fucking badass.

also, peeking around a corner in Call of Duty and seeing the panzershrek unloading holy hell into the air at the bombers up above at night.......damn, that thing rotating and hearing it constantly beating out shells, scary as crap

biggest one of all, hands down:

renting a PSX from the local video store (soon after it came out) with Resident Evil. I still get chills from thinking about that game. I was in sixth grade at the time, and it scared the living shit out of me and my brother and our friends for months. walking through that damn mansion and seeing the FMV of the zombie eating the guy and turning around.......damn....nightmare material
