First of all, I am happy to see another Gimp user.
The image is very intriguing, however it seems a little choppy to me. It doesn't really pull together or guide the eye like it perhaps could. For that reason, it lost my visual interest after a short time. I wonder if it could be improved by adding a more distinct focal point of some sort.
