The '95 model is different than the 96-98 models like what's in your link above.
As far as I know, because of the added weight, nothing in the Civic line-up bests the hatchbacks, in particularly the VX model. I have a '95 DX hatchback that gets an easy 40mpg on the highway with huge 215-width 17" tires, and it got even better mileage with the skinny pizza-cutter stock wheels/tires.
