I wouldn't spend 600 bucks on a TV.

The cheapest I've seen HDTV widescreens is 1000 bucks. So 600 bucks is not going to do HDTV. And 600 bucks is too much for a standard tube TV.. So I'd either look for a good 32" in the 300-400 range, or wait and get a HDTV.
