In Australia the legal age is 16.
I started dating my wife when she was 16. I was 21.
We had a few issues to work through of course, but honestly now she's 27 and I am 33 and no-one thinks it is weird at all.
Her parents were a bit concerned at first, but after a while they realised I wasn't part of the root-and-run crowd.
