Yup, the entire reason for having a trunk is for "just in case". I tend to spend a fair bit of time in downtown Norfolk and Richmond, VA. Some areas are pretty rough, and if you were in an occupation that Shakespeare advocated exterminating ("First, hang all the lawyers"), you'd be a big preparedness fan too.
