Saddam was protected by the US for long enough when it suited them too. For the US to accuse other countries of looking after their own interests first is yet more hypocrisy.

Saudi Arabia pretty much controls the price of oil, which is one reason we are so friendly with them.
I wasn't "accusing", but pointing out that very same hypocrisy, which exhibited itself here and elsewhere as people lauded the "noble French, Germans" et.al. for opposing the war.
We already did, in Somalia. No one else gave a shit while the people there stopped butchering each other to attack us. Now they are back to butchering each other.
Also, I am getting DAMN tired of being called a hypocrite.
