Don't get too excited, this isn't a battle thread or anything. I simply have a little extra time on my hands lately and am considering playing games again.

I played Diablo 1 and 2 forever and was terribly in love with them. When Warcraft 3 came out, I didn't want to try it cause I was too into Diablo, and as I was forcing myself to quit Diablo, many of my gamer friends were trying to convince me that I'd like WC3. I'm still yet to see it in real life and don't really know how it plays.

Can anyone sum up some of the main differences between WC3 and D2? I enjoyed D2 for it's worldly-reality (IE it's like playing in a new world...), it's action, and the reward for achievement as you improve your character. I liked the music, the graffics, and the overall not too simple but not too complex feel.

I just watched a clip of wc3 and one thing that irks me is that it shows the other character's life levels when I think that should be a mystery. I guess that's following RPG tradition though...

Also, pretty importantly, are cheats for WC3 as readily available as they are for D2? I hate online hacks, like duped items, fake items, etc. Are there similar things to this ruining WC3?
