There was a show on the Discovery {I think} channel about when the WTC was built there was some sort of problem with the bolts or ?? {can't remember really
} that was discovered several years later by a graduate student I believe. Anyway, rather than ramble, to fix the problem they went in at night and welded all the outer joints to prevent a failure during hurricane force winds.
Not to hijack such an interesting thread but does anyone else remember seeing this ?
