They would if they need to.
Some people make a fundamental mistake that others will take care of them.
Not true. Everyone has to do what is their best interest. If a person doesn't go in a negotiate with their boss after they have improved/got training/met goals/taken greater resposibility/etc. They don't understand the "rules of the game" and will get screwed
. Or, the person needs to keep the resume updated and shop it around. Ever notice how, when you tell your boss you got a new job how all of a sudden they are
talking about more money/promotion/vacation time.
They should teach this stuff in school.
