Umm, I need to interject there. Alchemy is by far the most powerful skill in the game. Nothing even comes close. It's actually WAY unbalanced. This is because potion effects STACK. If you drink 10 potions that add 10INT for 10 sec, you gain 100INT for 10 sec.
This is what you do: Get Grandmaster alchemy equipment and train alchemy to 100 with a 100 int. Items can boost you to about 140 int. With that skill and int, you can make some kick ass fortify INT potions. Make 10 drink them. Make 10 more, drink them. Each time you drink those potions, the next ones you create have a higher sucess rate, give stronger stat boosts, and have longer durations. Your mana also increases really fast.
After about 10 minutes, I could make a potion that fortifies INT by about 1 million points for about 5 million seconds. Take that and you have mana in excess of 5 million. While you have that high INT, make fort STR, fort Willopwer, and all other attributes that are about the same. You're HP don't increase, but with over 1,000,000 strength, you can kill anyone with one punch (every weapon breaks immediately).
You can also unleash hell with your spells. Make an absorb health spell that takes 100 points health for 20 seconds over a 100 foot radius. With an int over 1million, you have the needed mana to cast it. Take the fortify willpower potion and you will never fail. I cast a spell like that and everyone within the blast died. Nobody can touch you.
Also you're enchantments will never fail either if you have insane INT.
