Although this is a bit off topic from where this thread is right now, the original post brought up some interesting thoughts that have been running around my head for a while.
I always thought of God and Satan as being good friends. I mean, there has to be some understanding between the two guys if souls are to be sorted correctly. In my head, I imagine an old man in a white robe shaking the hand of a red devil while saying "Hey dude, I'm going to take the good souls. You can have the bad ones." It's a bit ironic to think about really. I mean, God, and the Devil, agreeing about the distribution of souls- a deal if you will?
God... a deal... with the Devil.
