The thing I hated most about Bush's tactics in this debate was that he tried to make everything a black or white issue. Kerry either did or didn't vote for certain bills, he's either for or against abortion, etc. Kerry tried to explain, for example, that he is against partial birth abortion except in those rare cases where the mother's life will be in danger or their is rape/incest, but Bush came right back with "he didn't vote against it, so that mean's for it."
Overall, I think Bush is a smart man who purposely caters to the stupid and the ignorant. I think it's dangerous to think that Bush is stupid...he's not. But he knows who votes him, and that's the wealthy and the dumb.
