Oddly enough, I feel the exact same way about the 1911. I love the gun conceptually, and consider it the seminal autoloading pistol, but it just absolutely does not work for my hand and eye. I can even shot them well enough, but I cannot do it quickly. Something about the angle of the grip, the trigger, the hieght of the sight plane or something just throws me off and wrecks that fine edge of concentration and comfort. I really do wish I could like them. *shrug*
