I think that you guys are forgetting about Japan and Korea! There are a crazy amount of people who's entire lives are dedicated to owning the newest gaming system despite the cost!
Sure we have that here in N America, and Europe, but not nearly on the same scale! Sony knows their home-town public, they're gonna make a mint wether or not they sell a single one west of India or east of the Pacific.
