I suspect I'll be a "rookie" pretty much forever on this board. I'm just not one to speak volumes about stuff I don't know about. And it doesn't bother me a bit. But I do hope that I am not considered this boards "lower class" because I don't have a decent avatar. 
Then again, perhaps that's as it should be.

No, you're not considered "lower class." While you may not carry as much weight as, say, someone who contributes a TON to the various forums, it is very easy to see by looking at your post history that you are not the "typical" rookie. None of your posts are in the Erogenous Zone. So, you're basically just quiet, and that's far different from being someone who spends all their time on the EZ.
Oh, and BonesCPA had some great suggestions too.
