Hey slandsman01,
I am in the same boat, 2 kids, all done. I had my procedure about 2 years ago, so it's still 'fresh' in my memory.
None of the pain is too much to bear. It hurts, you'll be sore, you'll be REAL sore for a couple of days. It's not the type of pain that makes you curl up in a ball and cry, but it's still there. Plus, you need to take it real easy for a few days while things heal. Don't want to cause more damage.
The amount of pain and recovery period really depends on the person. I heard stories of people back at it within a few days, to some being down a week. (And I am not talking sex, I am talking working, lifting, etc...) For me, it was about 4 days on the easy side....
As far as sex goes, you can start hittin it again after about a week or so, with contriception. You aren't really sterile until you have cleaned the pipes a few times (10, I believe). My clinic required me to bring two seperate samples in to test to ensure I was really 'unloaded'.
There is no change in sex drive, feelings, the fluids, etc... The sperm are a very very small part of content of your...er... load.
My only advice, stock on bags of frozen peas, they make great ice bags to keep the swelling down. Also, don't try to do too much too soon, you dont want your junk to swell up like a grapefruit!
Don't sweat it! And enjoy the freedom!
