I'll simplify:
A=good
B=evil
In order to perform B, we must have traits of A.
The motivations for doing B are to attain A.
Neither of those suggest that A must have B to exist. It suggests that B must have A. Which is what we're saying...good isn't depenant on evil, but that it is evil that depends on good.
