Military People???
It seems that we have a decent amount of current/former/future miltary on this board. Also, having re-read an old thread I posted on, some of us may have met, worked together/near/etc.
Post your service info; read the info of others, there may be some weird reunions waiting in the wings.
Me: US Navy, 91-95, was a MM3 then became a BT3 (E-4).
MEPS = San Diego (I was originally going to MEPS in Los Angeles, but the riots screwed that up. Several guys at the San Diego MEPS had files that were burned and charred because the L.A. MEPS building was on fire)
Bootcamp: Naval Training Center, Orlando
"A" School: Orlando as well, Nuke School. I am proud to have been "Nuclear Waste".
Duty Stations:
TAD Orlando - Military Police
USS Seattle (AOE-3), Leonardo, New Jersey. Yes, my base was walking distance from the infamous Stop-n-Shop from Clerks. We did two cruises, one in the gulf bringing in the tail-end of the war (GULF I). We were also parked outside of Haiti during that whole crises in '94, I believe, and we supported the Theodore Roosevelt battlegroup in the beginning of the whole Bosnia mess.
Ports visited: GITMO, Cuba - Rosie Roads, Puerto Rico - Bahamas - Rota, Spain - Augusta Bay, Sicily - Naples, Italy - Haifa, Israel - Cairo, Egypt - Bahrain; and a few others that I forget.
TAD - Naples, then TAD Norfolk waiting to get out.
Any chance I ran into any of you? I know that a few of us shared/new my old C.O. (Hoewing).
