I also read
Extensions - MozillaZine Forums, which often gives you the preview releases and 'first shots' at new extensions before they get listed elsewhere. Also, there's good communications with the extension vendors there for tracking down bugs.
And if you guys haven't been using the nightly builds, hoo boy, there's some good fixes in there. For instance, you won't need Single Window anymore. Still some things in flux, but the current expected final release date is November 9.
My list o' extensions:
Spellbound: a spellchecker
undoclosetab: reopen the last 3 (or, if you tweak your about
:config, as many as you want) closed tabs
Add Bookmark Here: places a menu option in each bookmark folder (good if you liked the way Opera handled bookmarks)
BBCode: makes it easy to
bold,
italic,
color, etc. for your posts here.
BlankLast: if you force your tabbar to be always visible, it blanks the last tab when you close it instead of closing the browser (there's a fix for this in the nightlies, but it doesn't quite work right yet)
BugMeNot: described above
Duplicate Tab: copy the current tab to a new window, or new tab
Linky: good for opening all linked images (like in a TGP) in separate tabs
Make Link: see the link I put in above? Quick copy-n-paste to get a forum-coded link.
miniT: drag-n-drop to rearrange your tabs, plus scrollwheel on the tabs to switch tabs
Nuke Anything: right-click and remove anything on the web page
Dict: select a word, get a pop-up with the definition.
