I think his talent has been blown WAY out of proportion. Personally, there has been only a few songs of his I have liked. Honestly, if he hadn't died I don't think he would be considered as great as he is (and this goes 10x for Biggie). His songs were wildly inconsistant in quality. Plus, for someone who is getting alot of credit as a "poet" and "artist" he released too much filler on his albums. Also, any of his thug life songs seem more parody than real, almost like a cartoon. Some rappers can pull this off effectively (M.O.P), but he seemed to take himself to seriously on songs which seemed cartoonish to me. And as far as lyrically, I wouldn't put him in my top 25 (at least). Of course, this is all my opinion.
