Ugh, I know. Same predicament for me. I mean, if I wanted to, I could be playing CS:S tomorrow! That'd be sick. But then again, I don't want to buy HL2 over Steam. I want the box and the CDs. So I shall wait.

And I totally agree about the graphics issue. Not only do the environments look beautiful, but the facial animations have absolutely blown me away from what we've seen, and I'm sure they've only gotten better in time.
