I've tried without the router. I've given everything a shutdown and cooling off period, including myself. At this point, my wireless access in very spotty and I have to renew my ip (from windows) every five minutes or so on the wired computer. I tried a firmware update, but it froze partway through on both attempts.
I'm starting to think that my poor router is dying. When I go direct from the modem to the desktop, I'm not having any problems at all.
